Ivy Octavia Patti, 60 of St. Charles, MO., died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at her residence. She was born November 19, 1956 in Chicago, IL. Loving daughter of the late Benjamin and Nancy Patti (nee Hall).

Ms. Patti was an avid animal advocate. She would donate to every fund for different topics (earth, veterans, animals, ASCP and Alum of Vof I). Ms. Patti was a college graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelors' degree in Psychology. She worked as a career consultant for eight years at the St. Charles County Department of Work Force.

Lois J. Craigmiles, 63, passed away on Tuesday April 20, 2021 at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab in Illinois.

She was born on May 25, 1957 to the late Herbert and Bernice (Kirchner) Patton. She married Gerald Craigmiles on October 2, 1992, he survives.

Lois was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Hardin but attended many different Baptist’s churches over the years. She loved her animals and listening to old country music.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Craigmiles; her son Waylon (Kayla) Craigmiles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Dwain Polite was born in Tripoli, Africa, on April 13, 1957, to parents Elmo (Paul) L. Polite and Florence (Moreland) Polite. Kenneth died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020, in Tucson, Ariz., where he has resided for the past 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his father and maternal grandmother, Dorothy Moreland, along with numerous other relatives. Kenneth was married once to Jacqueline Lenoir and to that union had one child, Jason Polite of Champaign.

Theresa Rasner-Harris, 59, passed away at 9:39 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 3, 2017) at Norton Remington Children's & Women's Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Theresa was born Sept. 15, 1957, in Urbana to parents Ranzy Jr. and Augusta (Avery) Rasner. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her brother-in-law; Gary Wingler.

Freddie Lee Rhodes Jr.

Freddie Lee Rhodes Jr. began his life Sept 5, 1957, to the union of Freddie Lee Sr. and Mary Thomas Rhodes in Champaign.



He passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2007.



On June 9, 1984, Freddie married Vikki Renee Paris in Champaign.  They were married for 23 years.

Larry J. Snyder, 39, of St. Louis, formerly of Urbana, died Monday evening (March 3, 1997) at home.



Mr. Snyder was born May 27, 1957, at Mattoon, a son of Ralph and Joyce Senteney Snyder.



Survivors include his parents of Urbana; a brother, Steven Snyder of Las Vegas, NV; and a sister Cheryl Snyder of Springfield.



Mr. Snyder graduated from Urbana High School in 1975.  He received master's degrees in management and human resource development from Webster University, St. Louis.

Holly Spencer, 66, Executive Director of the Eugene-Springfield Youth Orchestra (ESYO) died on January 7, 2024 after a long battle with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. She leaves behind her two beloved children, Lewis and Bailey Gilmore, as well as many friends, colleagues and family who will all miss her dearly.

Holly Jo was born in Jackson, Michigan on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1957. She grew up the fourth of 7 children of Richard and Mima Spencer, and shared many adventures and much laughter with her 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Jarelle S. Stein, 59, formerly of Urbana, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, March 31, 2017, at her home in Lake Forest, Calif.

Jarelle was born in Lincoln on July 23, 1957, the fourth child of James and Claudine (Perry) Stein. She married Zoe Pittman on Nov. 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents.
