You don't have to be a UHS 1975 graduate in order to set up a profile with our class. If you moved away, or graduated early or late or not at all, you can still register your information here!  We would love to hear from you!

Comment: After getting a BS in Ag Econ from the U of I, I spent 40 years in various facets of agriculture, mostly in international commodity trading. The first 20 years were corporate, the second 20 years were entrepreneurial. Moved from Urbana to the Minneapolis area in 1983 and have lived here since (other than a five year stint in New Jersey). We will be celebrating 40 years of marriage in August.
What have you been up to?: We love to travel and have been getting 2-3 international trips/year in since retirement in 2021. Recent trips include New Zealand & Australia, Croatia, Panama, Spain, Portugal, France, Belize. We also have a little camper that we like to take on a few trips/year to places like Big Bend NP, Canyonlands NP, Arches NP, Telluride, Glacier NP, Great Smoky Mountains NP to name the most recent. And we have a little lake cabin in northern Wisconsin where we spend ~50 days/year. We hope to continue in the GO GO GO phase before downshifting to the SLOW SLOW SLOW phase.

Our daughter lives in Bozeman, MT and our son lives nearby in Stillwater, MN.
Hobbies or special talents?: I almost entirely stopped playing golf when I retired...go figure...so the Saturday golf outing should be interesting!

I have joined the ranks of pickle ball addicts, playing 10-12 hours/week.

Still involved in strength training through an organization called Discover Strength.

I'm also serving as a pro bono advisor to several early-stage companies and sit on several Boards.

Comment: I never quite left Champaign Urbana, having business interests anchors one to the community with the first 30 years as a jewelry designer. It's a good town that has changed a lot in the last 50 years. With many interests I keep busy, but have enjoyed life here. With the sound business I have traveled a lot of the country putting on concerts. Now I'm Back in retail selling wood and expressing my art in wood.
What have you been up to?: 1) Student of life

Hobbies or special talents?: I've based my life in life long learning, based in an artistic and creative approach to life. Working in gold and silver, making small heirlooms to sculptures and now using exotic wood to create a whole range of objects and furniture. Played in bands for years, I still enjoy playing guitar with other people. Auto crossing and car racing is also fun. I like the outdoors and learned construction to buy and renovate buildings to incorporate all my interests.
